WARO recently participated in the National Protection Meeting held at the Aden Ade International Airport (AAIA) in Mogadishu, Somalia.
The meeting was organized by key humanitarian actors in the region, including UNHCR Somalia, WHO Somalia, and Handicap International – Humanity & Inclusion.
As a participant, WARO contributed valuable insights and expertise to the discussions, drawing from its extensive experience in working with vulnerable populations in Somalia.
WARO’s participation in the National Protection Meeting reaffirmed the organization’s strong commitment to advocating for the rights and wellbeing of marginalized communities, particularly internally displaced persons (IDPs) and other crisis-affected groups.
Through its involvement, WARO aimed to help strengthen protection mechanisms and ensure that the unique needs and challenges faced by these vulnerable populations are adequately addressed in humanitarian response and development efforts.
The meeting provided a platform for key stakeholders, including government representatives, UN agencies, and NGOs, to collaborate, share best practices, and align their strategies to enhance protection outcomes for people in need across Somalia.
WARO’s active engagement in this important national-level dialogue demonstrates its leadership in the humanitarian and development sector, as well as its dedication to driving positive change and fostering inclusive, rights-based approaches in Somalia.
