Wadani Relief Organization (WARO) is a local non-governmental, non-profit making organization. WARO was established  November 2016 by group of intellectuals, WARO has it’s headquarter in Mogadishu, Banadir Region Administration of Somalia but mainly operates in South/Central Somalia and some parts of Uganda. To effectively facilitate its work, WARO has a number of operational offices in Somalia that are necessary considering the challenges of its operational context.

The organization was initiated by a group of young intellectual who saw the need to improve the socio-economic conditions of the disadvantaged Somali communities and also aims at targeting marginalized community, with particular emphasis on marginalized and disability groups such as refugees and IDPs to alleviate human suffering which was on its peak at the time following devastating civil strives and other natural disasters which resulted in large scale starvation of thousands of vulnerable people.
