WARO recently participated in the National Health Meeting held at the Aden Ade International Airport (AAIA) in Mogadishu, Somalia.
The meeting was organized by key health actors in the region, including UNHCR Somalia, WHO Somalia, and Handicap International – Humanity & Inclusion.
As a participant, WARO contributed valuable insights and expertise to the discussions, drawing from its extensive experience in delivering healthcare and health-related services to vulnerable populations in Somalia.
WARO’s participation in the National Health Meeting reaffirmed the organization’s strong commitment to advocating for the right to health and ensuring equitable access to quality healthcare for marginalized communities, particularly internally displaced persons (IDPs) and other crisis-affected groups.
Through its involvement, WARO aimed to help strengthen health systems and ensure that the unique health needs and challenges faced by these vulnerable populations are adequately addressed in humanitarian response and development efforts.
The meeting provided a platform for key stakeholders, including government representatives, UN agencies, and NGOs, to collaborate, share best practices, and align their strategies to enhance health outcomes for people in need across Somalia.
WARO’s active engagement in this important national-level dialogue demonstrates its leadership in the health sector, as well as its dedication to driving positive change and fostering inclusive, equitable approaches to healthcare in Somalia.
